The Thinker | Auguste Rodin

The thinker was created in 1880 for The Gates of Hell. The figure represents Dante, author of The Divine Comedy which had inspired The Gates. With its blend of calm and strength, it became world-renowned as a symbol of hope and faith in humanity.
